Lara Gives Recital in Aid of Grove Cottage Mencap

"...Lara commenced with Mozart’s Fantasie No.4 in C minor, continued with Fantasien Op. 116 by Brahms and closed with Fantasia quasi Sonata by Liszt, inspired by Dante’s epic poem The Divine Comedy. Her performance was stunning in its accuracy and feel, and packed with drama, delicate flourishes and plenty of emotion. At times she did not so much play the piano as caress or subdue it, and the Liszt in particular was an exhibition in speed and poise. The playing during the opening of this Sonata was more sparing, as she also demonstrated the power of silence." - Tom Ryder, Bishops Stortford Independent
